eGaming Supply Rules, Guidelines & Procedures

By signing up and participating in the eGaming Supply MMORPG Community Marketplace, you are agreeing to be bound by the following:

Rules

The below rules are enforced without deviation at eGaming Supply.

  • Multiple user accounts at eGaming Supply is a strict violation of forum rules and marketplace conduct. Users found owning and/or operating multiple user accounts (more than one per user/household) will result in account termination for all user accounts.
  • Fraudulent activity including, but not limited to, false advertising is NOT ALLOWED.
  • eGaming Supply does not approve of unethical conduct including cheating or fraud. Any such activity will be removed and prevented if it is considered unethical in the sole view of the eGaming Supply staff.
  • Offensive material and offensive content will NOT BE TOLERATED. That includes threats, user or general harassment, disorderly conduct, cursing, and inappropriate material, which is determined by the forum staff.
  • Adverts or links of any description to external websites or organisations are NOT ALLOWED; this includes providing links to third party websites, companies or affiliates. There is a limited list of exceptions as described in the Link Guidelines below.
  • Spam of any description in any area of the forum or through any communication tool such as PM/email will NOT BE TOLERATED. Frivolous posts may be considered spam in the discretion of the staff.
  • Duplicate threads and duplicate posts are NOT ALLOWED.
  • Posting IM/email details in public posts/threads is NOT ALLOWED. You may post these in your profile only. Signatures must not contain email or IM details.
  • Only Authenticated Service Providers (ASPs) may provide in-game services to our community. For full information see this page.
  • iTrader feedback must be left within 7 days of the trade.
  • It is important that our community members know who to trust. Thus, anyone found to be impersonating a staff member either through their words or actions (including offering services that would normally be performed by approved staff), will be removed from the community.
  • Bumping threads is permitted only once per 72 hours, to keep spammy posts to a minimum.
  • If you are listing an account for two transactions, make two separate threads in the relevant sections. Do not list an account as WTS/WTT(for example).
  • Users have the function to use signatures in their forum posts. Users may not link to external websites, contain affiliate links, or try to represent a group of individual(s) that they're not. As stated already, users must not post IM/email details in signatures.
  • Users must register with acceptable and appropriate usernames. Usernames are permanent and can not be changed at any time. Usernames MUST comply with the username guidelines below.
  • Off-topic posts are not tolerated, they spam up the forum. See the guidelines for what is and isn't off-topic.
  • All users must use the edit button in their posts wherever possible. See the guidelines for further information.
  • All users must comply with our terms and conditions.

Guidelines

Guidelines are either strong advice or addendums to the rules as specified above.

  • All posts, profiles, usernames and any other information or content entered into the eGaming Supply database through use of our facilities will be owned solely by eGaming Supply. We reserve all rights to our content.
  • We do not delete accounts nor content for security reasons.
  • eGaming Supply strives to be a safe marketplace, for use of its own business. eGaming Supply does not tolerate unsolicited advertisements, spam, links, and/or reference to third party companies. In fact, eGaming Supply strongly recommends NOT to trust any other company for your own safety in transactions.
  • eGaming Supply is not responsible for any users, transactions, or content posted/occurring in the forums. Buyers, sellers, and traders all transact at their own risk.
  • eGaming Supply recommends using its premier middleman service for ALL transactions occurring in the forum marketplace.
  • Username guidelines: Usernames should be used an alias in the eGaming Supply forums. No username should represent or reflect a company, website, URL, e-mail address or general third party. Usernames can be actual names, nicknames, an alias, or whatever the user wants to be called. Any reference to any third party website or company, under any circumstance, is inexcusable.
  • Off-topic posts guidelines: It is not necessary and is indeed counter-productive to post in a thread with off topic posts. All posts made in a trade/buy/sell thread must be posts involved in bidding, etc. Posts along the lines of 'you could get more/less for that account' etc. are considered off topic. You can use the PM tool to advise the thread starter. Exceptions to the off topic rule are to raise awareness of possible scams, interventions by moderators, and other such common sense exceptions as determined by eGS staff.
  • Edit button guidelines: All users are requested to use the edit button in their posts. Liberally. Please do not make a new post with minutes("bumping"); instead, edit your original post to include the new information. However, the Edit feature locks out one hour after the initial posting, so as to keep an accurate record of what has been posted. Should you need to make an adjustment after this, please reply to your thread.
  • Link guidelines: The only links that can be posted on eGaming Supply are as follows:
    • Links to armoury sites or character info sites, for the sole purpose of displaying character/account information as required by a trade.
    • Links to other sites for the sole purpose of fraud prevention.

    Procedures

    Procedures are info about forum functions and such.

    • Activating Forum Accounts: Before you can participate in our forum marketplace community, you are required by the software to activate your forum account for security reasons. This is achieved by clicking on the activation link contained within an email that is sent to the email address you specify during registration. These activation emails are dispatched automatically, almost always within 15 minutes, but usually instantly. If after 30 minutes you have not received your email, it is either in your spam/junk email, or there is a problem with the email service, usually at your email provider's end. Our system sends out emails automatically and has never been shown to have failed to send an email. Please contact your email service provider for assistance. See this link to resend your email after correcting the problem at your end.
    • Middleman Service: All trades should use our middleman service to help ensure the security of your account. This page contains vital information about the service.
    • Log in problems: Please clear your cookies and try again. If that fails, please ensure your browser is set to accept cookies from egamingsupply.com and www.egamingsupply.com, and try again. This has fixed the problem for others.
