Safety Checks on sellers

Hello, i am new to the forum and have been looking at a few WoW account's that i wouldn't mind acquiring, the only thing is i'm so scared of being scammed, i actually think i was one of the first people who got scammed for a WoW account in history back when i tried to buy a USA closed beta key, and now i really dont want that to happen again.

Is there anyone who can give me some advice on how to make sure a sale is safe.

What checks can i do on the seller, what should i be aware of?

What is the safest process to use when buying an account?

Also i read about this middle-man thing, is that available at the moment, it really sounds good.

sounds great monarch, there are so many scammers at the moment, i think what you're doing is just what people need to feel safer doing transactions

Top thing to do is verify. Pro middlemen verify both parties, act as intermediary for account and funds, keep information on file incase someone does a chargeback or recalls the account.
These are things you could do your own, but middlemen have more experience than you do. A small % for a little safety is a good thing.

Safest thing to do is have characters of interest moved to a duplicate account that is created by you. (Only you know the CD Key) They won't be able to recall it for long because Blizzard is pretty wise about knowing when an account has been sold regardless of what techniques you use.

If you're selling, you want secure payment. If you're buying, you want to use paypal for the buyer protection. Best buyer protection happens if they do a money request and you fund it with a credit card. Now you have Visa lawyers to back you up and that kind of protection lasts a good year.

The top thing is still verification. publicly listed landline telephone, scan of ID, etc. Transactions are as secure as you make them, wheter buying or selling.
