Most relaible and safe way of sellng a WoW account?

I have rescently decided to quit playing WoW for good, too time consuming, and I want ot get back into REAL LIFE LOL. Im hoping some folks with some REAL experience can assist me in finding out how to sell my account without getting scammed, what information should be requires on both sides for the transaction, and whats the most reliable way to get your money. All the stuff in my account is legit, I started it, I know all the questions and answers, passwords and such. Im not looking to make a killing on it, just to find someone wanting a good account and willing to comp me a bit for the time i have invested. Basically to not take a huge loss on what I have invested time wise and monetarily. Thanks for any help.

for one the safest way to go about doing this would be using a MIDDLEMAN. takes out 99% of chance to get scammed.
all the neccesary information: you will need the ID/Pass. Secret question answer, Email ready to be changeable, if possible the CD keys, original name that came with account ( your name or name you put on account ).
the safest way possible is with a middleman. but if you dont want to use one , then there are other ways.
WATCH OUT FOR:
someone rushing
someone who doesnt speak english well and you can tell doesnt know anything about WoW
someone who sounds/acts childish, there usually scammers.
someone who periodically LEAVES during a IM conversation.
someone who takes to LONG to get things done ( like pay or w/e )

this is exactly how i got about trading an account without a middleman ( i use the rep i have on this site which helps a LOT )
person contacts me.
i ask for there login info. they give then i give myne.
i log in check account . they do same with myne.
i switch emails and THEY confirm. then i switch there email on my account.
i ask for secret question answer: they give then i give myne.
i ask if they have the CD key. if not they dont get myne.
i RECORD ( type down, write w/e ) ALL original info to BOTH accounts MYNE AND YOURS.

( Notice how i make the other person go first on this and ALL trades i do, this is because im KNOWN on this site as a legit , trusted person, so the person trading me ALWAYS goes first because they and i know they wont get scammed, if they dont go first, they DONT Get. ) ( but i sometimes go first with KNOWN trustable people here )

you could use that as a guide, but selling is a little more difficult. so here is something else you can do.
set a price tell them w/e
give them LOGIN info ONLY.
have them pay.
tell them in a FEW DAYS ( 3-4 ) you will change the Email over. if thats unacceptable to them they are most likely a scammer.
WITHIN those days if the money dissapears or you get disputed through paypal w/e that means they're a scammer.
if you still got your money after the 3-4 days, then switch the email. tell them again for your accounts safety and the safety of the money involved your not giving the Secret question answer out for another 3 days. after that if you still got your money. then give.

( THATS when your work with PAYPAL ) i haven't done it through western union so idk on that

Also, the only thing you have to be weary with is western union (from my experience), seems to take a good % out of the sales.

i think that middleman is a good thing, it's too bad that the internet lets all these scammer cowards hide being a computer, I remember back when you have face to face buy/sell but then again that wasn't for account's that was tangible goods.

My question is, if after the 3-5 days pass and you change the email information, and they retrieve the money... I wish there was a safe way to make the transaction final without having to deal with scammers

The OP gives some decent advice but to be honest there's really no real way of protecting yourself. Just go with the gut feel and cross your fingers. Alot of bastards out there.
