Quickest way to level a pally

I've heard a lot of differing opinions. The top 3 choices are prot aoe, holy instance leveling, or ret soloing. What way did you find best/quickest/and most fun?

When I leveled my BE pally, I quested as ret. Leveling in instances would be a pain because it would be difficult to find groups. They recently buffed the ret tree as well. They also buffed exp you get from quests.

My girlfriend and I did the prot-AOE grind and questing. I was a holy priest, though, and would randomly help out with the hardly efficient holy nova. There were a lot of times though until Outlands where she really didn't need me helping her - she could just pull 40 mobs instead of 20 with me around.

Personally I think that questing is more efficient and much less boring than just grinding.

Ret is the quickest way of levelling a paladin.

Though i've never rolled a ret pali, they're great to have in a group in PVE.

Ret from 10-40, Prot from 40-58, Ret again from 59-70.

Outlands doesnt work so great for AoE'ing ;P

ret is the quickest way to solo just grinding and questing, but ret pallies aren't always wanted in instances because theres no cc and other classes can be better with dps at low lvls. if you are confident in being able to get in groups and instance a lot prot and holy can work too, just depends on your play style

Aoe prot is different from ret, I think its more fun.

I went Prot aoe with another pally friend who was holy. We were able to pull an amazing number of enemies at once and it was super fun to see redoubt proc that often.

I've got a level 70 human paladin that I leveled ret from 1-60 back before tbc and then when bc launched I switched over to holy shock since I already had a bunch of T2/T2.5 gear to support the spell dmg. Worked very well, I could heal 5 mans and solo with very little downtime.
