Splitting off characters in an account

Is this possible to split off a character from an account and sell it individually without selling the entire account(as in, sell a character and send it directly to another account)?
And is it possible to accept a character incoming from another account?
or if this isn't possible, is it possible to open a new account and send a character to that, then sell that account with the 1 character?

Hmm.. so I take that as a no. Unless a name can be changed on an account?
Reason is-
I would like to trade accounts with someone, but my account has 4 70s and he has 1.
I would like to split off my 1 character and trade accounts with him, but the problem is that I don't want to be paying for 2 accounts at once. My current account, and his account that he would be trading to me.
Is there any solution for this? I'm sure this problem has to have come up in the past..

You need to purchase a battlechest for $40, and pay a $25 transfer fee to split off one account.

You will need to keep the same name, first and last, and not to make it obvious, use the same address as well. You can change the email, phone number, SQ&A. I can't confirm if you can transfer an account with a new address, but same name.

The pro is that you can make a few bucks on the character. The cons are that your name and address are still attached to the new account. In addition to this, Blizzard is known to ban based on similar information, like personal info and/or payment information. If any of the accounts share this information, it "can" be a risk to all of them.

I can personally say I had split off an account from an original, using all the same info, and when the original account was banned, my secondary account was not. Others have been banned because of the association.
