Question on transfering single characters

How does this work? I know Blizz has a policy that you have to have both names match the accounts before trading. So, do people just change the names, then request a paid transfer? If so, wouldn't Blizz block those transfers? "Hrm, this account changed names, then received a character from another account."

I don't think you can send one character from one account to another.

you cannot change names on an account, you would have to buy a whole new account. But you can xfer characters to different accounts

Here's what you do.

Lets say you have an Account, with a 70 Toon on it.

Lets say your account details are...

Name: Bob Bobson

Phone Number: 123456789

Address: 123 Fake Street.

And Lets say you wanted to Transfer that character to another account.

All you have to do is create a new account with the EXACT same details.

It must have Bob Bobson, 123456789 and 123 Fake Street.

If any of these things differ you WILL NOT be able to transfer.

Once I purchased an account with 3 60's on it, I went and bought 3 new WoW Games and put the characters on each and sold them off one by one.

anyway, blizz will check after about account details. soo, got one acc banned in this way, cause of this. better ive recomend you to keep data in account, after transfer for 2 more weeks. you can change password and soo on, but keep data there for 2 weeks max.

Quick question:

Say I have 3 toons on my account and I want to xfer one onto it's own account. After the account to account xfer is complete is that toon able to then server xfer? Or does the account xfer burn all xfer cooldowns?

I had that same question and actually asked a GM about it and yes Account to account transfers do initiate the 30 day cool down =(.
I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news. My suggestion is to just either let the person who is buying the account transfer it off to their own account that they buy and make after the middle mad process is done (wink wink). Or just work it out with the buyer where they want the char before the sale goes through.

So if i recieve a single character from someone else's account with two different names on each account, will my account recieve disciplinary action or will the sender? Will I get to keep the character or will it be deleted by Blizzard?

While you can change the phone#, email, address you can't change the name of the person on the account.
If you want to trade a character to another account you have to buy a new account and when you register that new account you have to match the information.
