Notice of account ban?

I got an email saying blah blah blah notice of account ban because you try to sell/trade your account on eGaming you must send your password to blizzard and personal info, yeah right, i'm an idiot. Mail wasnt from blizz, but i opened it to read it, didnt click any links, and then deleted it.


Next day my password is wrong, scanned my pc no virus or keylogger.

Is the account banned, or is the login information incorrect? Did you send any details to anyone?

If it's banned, you get the annoying little error message. If it's incorrect, my guess is someone was setting you up to tell you you've been banned, when in reality they've stole, or reclaimed your account.

Was this a purchased account? Did you have the email address changed if so? It's not uncommon for prior owners to attempt to reclaim an account they sell.

If the account gets banned they reset your password. it should be coming in your email soon.
