Careful using WoW armory links! Take careful consideration when using WoW armory links inside your advertisements. Blizzard has been known to visit gamer forums on a regular basis.
When you link an Armory link inside your advertisement, your character name and realm is now exposed to Blizzard. They are then aware you are looking to sell the character.
When you link an Armory link, dozens of random IP addresses suddenly show up against that listing and are then recorded. All Blizzard has to do is notice whether a new IP address shows up consistantly on the account upon a sale, then there's potential for account closure since the new IP address could be a change of region.
I suggest using clone armory sites, or simply listing out your items. Then upon request of a potential buyer, maybe give them an armory link. You want to keep as many eye's off your account information as possible. Blizzard is a VERY aggressive company when it comes to banning. They believe in banning now, questioning later. Why? They make more money this way. From a company point of view, it makes very good sense because a customer would most likely pick up another copy for $20, and start again.
