Western Union?

So, I'm looking to sell my WoW char and Pinkavenger says he wants to buy a character but he will only pay via Western Union cause he has cash.

He has made 50 - 60 posts on this site, so I'm guessing he is respectable. I'm not very sure about Western Union but I insisted on Middleman Service and he agreed. Is there any hidden information about Western Union that can get the money withdrawn later on or anything detrimental I should know about? I know Western Union has a bad reputation for dirty transactions and not being too safe, but since I was going to order middleman for this transaction, I was just wonder if maybe I could get a middleman's opinion on if this sounds like a clean transaction.

Also, do you need a Western Union account or anything to deal via Western Union? I've never used it before. Not exactly sure how it works. Is it just a wiring of funds over to another bank account or how does it operate?

Be happy! WU is safest option for you. You don't need a WU account to pick up money. You will need photo ID and something called MCTN number or somethi'n like that.. (never dealt with WU myself, so ;P). The buyer will give you the MCTN number, and you go to a WU location near you, provide the MCTN along with a photo ID and they will give you your money.

Always use a MM. :P It's 30$ to protect your copy of a game that cost $50.

yes you only need MCTN number and the sender name
and you can find the stores in ur city on the main wu site find agent

Yep, for sellers, WU is a very secure way because its almost impossible to recall (I think you can recall it before its picked up but thats it).
