Direct Bank Transfer - Legit, Safe, Accepted?

Hi All

I kind of want someone experienced to reply to this. I do a lot of international travel for work, 75% average. I want to buy accounts but most people require WU now, obvious reasons of course, and because of my situation I can't do that. I've talked to several people about the possibility of me wiring them money from my bank in the states directly, but I've received hesitation and suspicion about this method. Has anyone paid/received money via just a plain old wire transfer? I would think this is the safest way for the seller because it's guaranteed cash and no charge backs.

Perhaps there's something about this that I'm not aware of, anyone want to chime in?

I'm not 100% sure (kendrah1 is your best guy, I'm sure he'll post soon enough), but I can't see anything wrong with a wire transfer, certainly not on the 'receiver' end. The problem might be that the sender could very easily get cheated out of an account because, as you say, no chargebacks. If you didn't get sent the login info, you'd have no comeback.

Again though, not sure.

A Wire Transfer can still be recalled. It is probably one of the safest methods of receiving payments, however, for sellers.

Most wire transfers are safe, with use of a middleman. I use Western Union myself as much as possible. The chances of a chargeback scenerio is extremely slim, and I believe may only have the ability to occur if fraud exists as part of the transaction. Because users have to identify themselves with photo ID, this is reduced greatly.

Wireing is just as safe/unsafe as WU.

It's just that -> an irrevesable payment.

I believe it costs $25 per transfer, can be beared to either the sender or receiver.

WU costs 8-10% of the sent amount, paid by sender.

The problem with wiring however, is that it takes 4-5 days to clear. It sucks for a seller when you hold out an account for someone, wait 4-5 BUSINESS days (weekends don't count) and the payment never arrives.

So EVEN if you don't lose your acc since you've waited for payment, you do lose precious time, and potential customers along the way.
