I bought the original GW game and ran through everything spending a lot of time on it. what im wondering is...has it got anymore fun with the new expansions out there?

I do not know about more fun, but it has certainly gotten much more complex. The pvp community keeps bleeding members at an alarming rate (part of this is anets failure at proper balancing). The campaigns themselves are ok, though I often wonder if factions is even worth its cost, considering how short the pve part of it is (if you're more of a pvp type, I suggest you only buy the pvp pack).

agreed, nightfall is a fail, and factions is too short. The only campaign worth while is the prophecy campaign, unless if your already ultra rich then you should play nightfall because kamadan d1 america is a main trading spot

Buying any of the campaigns again would be a waste of money IMO, but like Raul said if you just want to pvp buying the pvp pack is the way to go, i know at points when its on sale its like 20 bucks to buy the pvp pack, you'll have to unlock everything which sucks but you will get all the campaign skills and have the ability to pvp, while still spending a very minimal amount.

I came back a bit and it's not as fun as before since with the game going on for so long, the hardcore players have accumulated a lot of wealth by playing so much. It drives up the prices of everything. I made like 500k with good trading over a weekend and I was still poor as hell so I quit again

If your looking to kill time then yea, get back into it, there is a ton to do for PVE and alot more added to the PVP as well.

People think that guild wars is dead, me too, We are all waiting for Guild Wars 2, They said it will be the best MMO ever made. I hope it is

gw isn't dead, still a lot to do while we twiddle thumbs for gw2

i has become a little more fun, but most of the game is in the pvp , if you dont pvp the game will be pretty boring pve is not very fun in guild wars

its fun for me to start a new char. the one thing about this game different from other mmorpgs is that it isn't exactly easy to earn a huge amount of cash in a short amount of time. the more time you spend the more money you get in this game. whereas most other especially with a auction system it is wholly possible to become one of the richest easily with proper investments within a very short amount of time actually spent in game and no combat is required.

i would really like a AH for GW2, that way its so much easier on me to make money :/
