Default Canceling Square Enix Account

Just wanted to let everyone know that when you cancel a "Square Enix Account" not "POL Account" that any accounts that are linked to it will no longer work. The only way to get the account back working is to call and have the "Square Enix Account" reactivated. This information would have been nice of them to provide when you cancel it though. Anyways I am going to see if it is possible to remove a "POL Account" from a "Square Enix Account" when I call them today.

I've heard this also. Do they still ask all questions in order to prove your the owner, or are they pretty loose on allowing it to be reactivated?

This could be a problem if you put a token on the account but didn't have all the contact info. You could never sell your account.

After about 3 hours of waiting on Chat Support, the guy came on and asked me for SE ID, email, and secret question to reactivate it. Just my luck I had stepped away from the computer for about 15 minutes and they had signed off before I could get back to talk to them. So it seems it shouldn't be a problem with anyone that previously had access to the account because all that information can be changed except for SE ID.

No this is just if you cancel the Square Enix Account, you can change the password once you are logged in. My main reason for this was to see if you could cancel the Account and it would unlink it with your POL Account. Unfortunately this isn't the case and look like last resort is to call them and get it unlinked from the SE Account. Will update once they open today and see if I have any success with it.

I am really starting to wonder about this Chat Support they have for POL. Last night I waited for 3 hours to get someone. Today I log in as soon as they open at 9 PST, the first message I get it:

Over a hour on Chat Support to get any help, and the tech support line was busy I got my SE account reactivated, but they said they are unable to remove any POL accounts from a SE account. They said since it is a new service this option may be available in the future, I also sent a "Service & Support" form requesting this or ability to cancel SE account without affecting POL accounts. So be careful before you link any accounts to your SE account. My suggestion is if you think you may sell it in the future, just create another SE account for the single POL account.
