best DD Class

What is the best DD class to play with that is fun. So far I have played Monk, and they are ok, but dont like H2H. Im starting a thief.

Wow, you didn't like monk? I thought it was a fun class!
Thief is pretty fun, it's not too intense of a damage dealer...only SA and TA are really intense...and some of the job's weapons kills.

DRK is a good DD class but I didn't have too much fun with it. I hate the delay of the 2-handed weapons..

Warrior is a good mix between DD and tank, and I really had fun with it..

I think a BLU is a DD right? I heard that was a fun job.

Let's see...when I played my 75SMN it was a good DD but I mostly helped heal etc...SMN is pretty gay now as far as that goes...

Have you tried RNG? RNG is pretty fun too...and is a good DD class.

Well, see I want to start a DRG, but cant. I just got the acct. So I want to get an acct w/ DRG unlocked. Any1 have 1. Ill pay like 75$ or trade a level 60 LoTRO Champ, and the FFXi acct i have currently. Even ill take a level 30 character any class.

I saw someone selling a 75 Drg elvaan male, i think it's still up. I myself bought an accoun with drg lvl1, lol it had 3/5 Drg Af2 though and I love leveling it

oh man i used to love playing DD classes, i was always the guy trying to do the most damage possible in exp pts.

I had a lvl 48 sam/drg with capped polar arm merits, spamming penta thrust @ lvl 48 with a brd & red curry. it was just fun, and did very high DoT for that level.

I miss the old days b4 the ranged attack gimp, always had rng/war + brd + red curry for high dmg


Some of my favorites is E.body ridill warx3 with relic brd marchx2 and relic brd minuet x2 in merit pt

also had pimped out mnk/war that out parsed e.body ridill war on colibri once.

also had blau/rdiill thf outparsing nin's & war vs birds.


each DD job can do high dmg output with right gear & pt set up, and food/skill and it's fun trying to do the highest dmg possible.

drg/war is great vs birds with 2xbrd pt mp drain though, quick kills

I think my highest dmg output overall for merit pt was with relic gun rng/war + K.club 2xbrd rdm.

other members were ridill war's which helped kill mobs fast, & keep me from being too much of an MP drain. mind you i did not hold back at all, and tanked 90%+ of the time and we always kept running out of birds in the middle camp, and we lacked the tanking ability to do the wivre's so while highest DMG output, not the best set up for max exp/hr

in the end, a decked out SAM will do the most, but other then that, probably a good WAR

Fully hasted sam with good TP build and brd will do good dmg

i had sam/war with Yoichinoyumi, spamming 1k arching arrows every few seconds with near cap haste & TP build very high DoT and consistant

sam/war with relic GK, will do good dmg per hit but much less hits and WS less often, so it really is outdone by Yoichinoyumi + soboro, vs birds

and my rng probably outdid my sam/war Yoichinoyumi, granted gotta calculate in soboro hit dmg vs K.club, so i could be wrong, i cant really go up against myself in merit pt on 2 accounts that i sold long ago.

like i said all DD jobs have high Dmg output potential, a mandou/ridill thf spamming SA followed by TA DE's for 1,000-1,800 dmg every 30 seconds vs birds and hundred fist like attack speed for nice dmg per hit, will outdmg most average people on any job.

I had nin with blau/m.kris near max haste dual wield etc. etc. doing hundred fist and spamming 600 eviscrition vs birds not the best overall but better than your average merit player.

it is all situational, and for the most part each job is underperforming their max DMG output due to lack of something or another.

When inviting in to merit pt for dmg, war/nin nin/war, are always good options, drg/war good for birds.

however each person performs differently, and these are best on average, but i'll take a 4x Sam/rng Cor + relic brd, with 2+ outside healers, with Soboro Yoichinoyumi set up for sidewinder against colibri, no bird will last mroe than 30 seconds if players are skilled enough. and rotate barrage, meditate, & WS"s accordingly.

It's all so different, to say pimped out sam is always the best is rediculous

I'll take a relic gaxe war/sam with max haste build, marchx2 + haste, over a pimped out relic sam/war anyday. as far as dmg output goes. though relic sam/war is godly it is not the best overall for sam let alone the other jobs. (against birds other mobs GK may be better)


What's truly best idk, be it pimped out e.body ridill war, Cap haste drg/war with love halberd, relic gun K.club rng, relic bow sam, GK relic sam, Gaxe war/sam, ............... etc. etc.
