Here is my point on this is you trained how to fight for 20 years (got your toon to lvl 75) and are one day transported back in time (lvl synch in qufim) to the sixth grade shouldn't you be able to kick all the other six graders(worms, gigas, crabs, pugils) asses.

graphics aren't absolutely horrendous compared to other games but they definitely are significantly worse. Same old game play, they updated it a bit to remove some of the cheater but basically everything has adapted in such a way that you could jump right back in from however long of a break you took if you understood the game when you quit. A few things have changed with jobs, trying to equalize most of them (new JA/equip)- new relic out, NM imo.

IMO ffxi was better back then. Seeing several empty zones that once was packed with people is . ToAU made getting to 75 for most people way too easy and quick.

The recent update is the best by far. Dynamis drops more its cheaper and limbus too, Jailers are much easier too. And the lvl sync is the VERY BEST thing they done I really wish I had this when I started because you could never ever hang with your friends and lvl you were always too high or too low. BCNM is great now that we don't need armor. If you ever played before just try it now it's very fun, but I can't play the account I had traded for my original was recalled ; ;

Shouldnt account values be decreasing then because of accessible gear is becoming? My friends LS just got 4 duelist chapeaus.. and 14 drops from beau.. def wasnt that good when I was playin.

Final Fantasy XI is alright now especially with the new release of the party sync. It basically gurantees that you can party with everyone lower than you and that you can get experience. Gurantees that you don't ever have to wait for a PT. I wish I didn't sell my account lol.

I quit about a year and a half ago and I have to agree with you, people had it too easy when I quit. I remember when getting 5k/hour was godly.

The main problem with the game is that it hasn't changed that much. Yes the stories and missions are great. But as for the fights, they are mostly the same. Hold it in one spot and whack at it while staying alive. Rather boring after you do it 100x.

As for the new zones and such, they seem to just twist the same ideas into new looks. With a raise in the lvl cap, they have left some of the oldest gear to still be the best. All the new to do is raise the cap, add new zones, add new gear, and most of the problems would be fixed.

SE trying keep game alive but I have feeling it is dieing. Like that 14 days free playtime now or game coming to new consoles ect. Ppls maybe can play sometime yes but I dont think many will keep going for years like we who started years ago already when game were fresh.
