Who really enjoys crafting? I mean sure you can sit there for DAYS on in for the ability to have a lvl 30 gold smithing but why not use a bot?

Most people that I know don't really enjoy sitting there and pouring tons of money into leveling their crafting skill, nor do they usually enjoy the amount of time that one must invest to reach a high-level in crafting. The payoff is when you reach that level. With most crafts, you can make a good deal of money once you have a veteran craft. However, the economy seems to be in somewhat of a slump right now, so that is not necessarily the case. Also, people enjoy the randomness/probability aspect of crafting. In a way, it is kind of like the lottery; you have a certain chance of getting a HQ that you could sell for a large sum but you risk getting a NQ and losing potentially hundreds of thousands of gil on one synth.
Crafting can be extremely rewarding and that is where people enjoy it.

if you dont enjoy leveling your craft i'd suggest finding an alternate way to make gil. you're playing this game to have fun, not to bore yourself. either make gil another way, buy a crafting acct, tho you probably wont like it if u dont like leveling it, or buy gil. plain and simple. some people like to grind thru vet crafts, and some people dont, same way some people love to level jobs, and others cant stand to.

i heard that you can get a synth bot is this true?

yea, there are bots out there that will take the mats in your inventory and synth them for you. ffxi-app has one, i'm almost sure. been a while since i had that on a char. but u'll have to buy the mats and crystals off AH, and shouldnt do it when ur afk for a long time, just cuz of getting caught lol.

You gotta be real careful with those bots, i wouldnt use em because if you get caught u'll be looking to buy a new account lol cause your old one will be taken away pretty fast
