Default Does this error mean i was possibly scammed or caught buying the account by SE?

Ok, I bought an account last friday from a guy over AIM, everything has been going well and etc. until today.I went to login to the account aqnd got this error. "Currently Playonline's services have been stopped in regards to your Playonline ID. For more information please contact the information center. (LM-17)" Does that mean i have been scammed and the account is being recovered? Or does that mean i was caught buying?

I think they generalized the error for being suspended/banned etc... I would wait 72hrs and see if it still gives you that. If so, maybe call them and see if they can give you more info (although you'll probably need the billing details). Depending on how nice the seller was, they may be willing to call on your behalf if they want that info.

I got a 72hr suspension with LM-17 and also a perma ban so I don't know, it could be either. They changed permanent from LM-11 to LM-17 now just to generalize it and make people more worried.

I havent used any 3rd party applications at all on this account, that is why i am not sure why i am unable to log in...

Did the person who owned the account before maybe did something to get banned? Perhaps someone called a GM or something on that account. Otherwise, maybe the owner called SE to report it as hacked or something. But yeah, try waiting 72 hours and/or call them to know whats up.

Yea, I will wait, I wouldnt think anyone would call GM cause all i have done really is campaign battle, no 3rd party tools, and i transferred servers when i logged on.

When I got that error it was a 72 hour ban. But that depends, Owner might be trying to get the account back also, and they have suspended it. SE probably didn't find out the account was bought, cause the OO would have told him and the account would have prema ban anyway, I don't think the OO would do something like that. However, its been a few days sense they did mass ban, so this must be a OO trying to get his/her account back type thing.

OO called SE because the account he just bought got the same error my account got, and apparently SE caught us buying/selling accounts. I am not quite sure how they foundout seeing as we used AIM. Only thing I can think of is SE saw the change in IP and then banned.....

That's the code for a 72 hour suspension, at minimum. It can develop into a full out ban. If you are lucky to get the 72 hour, it will be your final warning on the account. That's what a GM will tell you.

If the account is reclaimed, the password is reset and you can't log in, in the same fashion as a hacker taking your account over and changing the password on you. If that happens, it means that a password reset will not be approved, a notary note will be required, and it's anyone's guess as to what password SE applies to the account for holding. I bet it's a nice and long one, with many digits.

i had the same thing happen to me, but it was a full out ban. waited live chat for 2 hours, and fone for 30 mins b4 i found this out. wicked bs!
