Buying gil on bought account

If an account was just purchased is it not a good idea to buy gil so soon or should one wait a while? My concern would be having RMT ties to an account that just changed information.

You should probably wait, or buy privately.

I usually put between 6 to 8months between when I buy gil. SE's logs do not go back that far.

i'd have someone just buy the gil for me, transfer to me and then id pay them.

Can SE track gil buying that transfers in person? If I bought gil and received the gil in-game for over a million would that cause a red flag to appear on my account?

Was thinking about buying gil...but it looks like SE is waving the ban stick a lot more often these days.

Anyone ever been banned caught using eGaming's gil service?

The thing is, RMT sites, they make a character, transfer the gil to the character, then transfer it to you. Then usually delete it. The gil stock is usually kept on a nother complete fresh character.

When like 5-10 mil has been traded from a level 1 character, to a level 1 character, to you, an experienced character. It looks fishy. If they catch any of their accounts that are linked to that character, they're going to look at the trading history of that character. They can view this, GM's can even view this directly in game (view GM manual.) So thats how some people get banned involved in RMTING.

If you're buying 5-10 mil from someone on the forum though, they're usually experienced player already, and are not linked to any RMT accounts, so you have a far-far less chance of being caught.

Pretty much; I'd wait if I were you. And like Char said, their logs only go back 6 months; after that, if nothing has happened; your pretty much in the clear and out of suspection.

And if you do; dont buy from a well known site. The biggest one with crackdowns right now is agamegold; since SE is catching onto the main RMT's and tracking character creations and linking it to players. >.>

No one really knows what method the GMs use to track gil movement. However I have read a copy of the GM manual dated 2005, and their logs on any type of in-game activity at that time was 7-10day max. After that point they had no record of it. Unless you guys have proof they changed the logs to 6months, im calling that BS. It's possible, but i'm going on a scanned copy of it at least.

Another thing is don't have it sent to a Dbox, meet ingame and trade.
