Warning to FFXI Buyers.

Please make sure you have the 5 essential informations from the seller.
1. Full name of the account holder(first last and middle name is needed).
2. Date of Birth is needed. (MM/DD/YYYY is needed).
3. make sure to write down ****HIS Address**** and your current address when you decide to change it.
4.The most Important Information you need to get from the seller is ***Playonline Reg. Codes.**** you might want to also get the Reg. codes for the game and Expansions as well.
5. First 4 and last 4 digits of Credit Card Number.

A few days ago i got my account locked, because the original owner decided he missed the game and wanted to come back. The only thing i was missing from the 5 listed above was the Playonline reg. code. Now i am in the 2-5 month process of fighting back to get the account back. One other thing i didnt write down was the Sellers Address, which is needed for a Notary Form.

So please if your buying an account from here, make sure you get all the information needed from the seller. There has been many times when these idiots decide they want to come back to the game and try to get they character back. And they most likely will if you dont have the 1of the 5 things.

Quick note/add-on to step 4: If they're OO, have them take a picture of the reg. codes from the booklet(which they should have if they're OO) and send them to you. While it's possible these are codes to an entirely different account, it shows they at least have something. A seller can easily make up any random letters/numbers for a reg. code, so having them just tell you is a bit unreliable.

Other than that, it's pretty much spot on on what you need.

that is true, i would even tell them to ship the cd with the booklet. that way you have a physical item being sent when paying through paypal.

Even then it could be a copy, it might not be the real ones for that specific account. I don't know if you could like, get all the original info, have the cd key, and then call SE or go on live chat and say you forgot it, and are reinstalling game, make it out that you think you need it, they may just turn around and go well, u dont need it, they might tell u it if u give them rest of information, you might be able to say "could i have it anyway, i dont think the one i have is the right one, and i've lost booklet", i dont know, have to think of something else, but if a scammer really wanted to, they could put fake information on, provide you with fake account cd keys, etc, I'd also suggest getting a phone number and ringing that phone to check, mainly a landline because a mobile takes 10 minutes to change number, whereas a landline can take days and if someone scams you, you have at least some personal information there.

No, you can still sell without reg code. It's actually more safe if the reg code completely doesn't exist, because you need it to recovery accounts, but then again, it's not hard to say "i dont have it", and telling porkys :P, just depends who you sell to, and you reason why you don't have it. Down to the buyer really.

Reclaiming an FFXI account is an extremely difficult process, just an FYI to put out there, and there is no need to worry if you use our Middleman Service.

can you please explain how middle man will save us from a fake reg. code from a seller? you going credit back our money from the changed PW.

if even 1 digit of reg code is off from the first 4 and last 4 your not getting back your account back.

and when it comes to doing a notary form you will need the sellers original address saved, other wise say good bye to your account.
