Planning on buying an EU account, I have some questions first though!

Pretty much what the title says.
I do not have FFXI or PlayOnline installed on my computer whatsoever.
But the account I'm interested in buying is a EU account from Larson.
What do I need to do first? I'm still a little confused about things concerning non-NA accounts.

ok what u need to do is get the US version of pol and ffxi install it everything, then go to www.square-enix.com or whatever chose Europe !!!! go to ffxi main page, click on platforms click PC then that have a place for you to download the Windows vista POL EU version, with that POL u can change the info, but to actually play the account u would have to use the US version... also, make sure u even try to log onto eu version and download pol patches, didn't do that on my first EU account (already sent money) and guy could have scammed me bad! its like a 45 min. download.!

i'm having the same problem, but i'm trying to help somone buy my account from me, they don't have EU version and aparently it won't let them change my pw, however i have no troubles at all changing it. aparently they need the EU version of POL but i can't find a download for it anywhere. the above post refers to this page http://www.playonline.com/ff11eu/envi/win/win01.html but there is no download for POL on it.

anyone know if there's any way short of buying another copy of ffxi to get this to work?
