Anyone have a working windower with Vista?

Any of you guys know of a working windower with Vista for FFXI? Since an update or two ago, I haven't been able to get mine working.

I have a working one. but cant remember how. But what I think you got to do is disable UAC in Vista. Other than that I think it was a new hook.dll maybe. I can't remember.

Hope it works out for you. I think this is the same guide though that a friend of mine used and got to work. He was rambling on and on so I didn't soak it all in to be able to relay reliably
I am thinking about getting a vaio but lately I am thinking about quitting XI anyway. I'm not sure but I might be rowing the same boat myself soon so I may as well bookmark the link too haha

What do you use Windower for?
FFXI has Windowed mode option now.. So I guess you must use scripts or something?
I never saw a use for them..

I only use windower to take SS's of accounts for sale. I'm using the FFXI windower, but it doesn't allow you to take normal screendumps it seems.

I've heard several people with this problem, it works fine on my laptop with Vista Ultimate... are you right clicking and running as administrator? are you getting some error when you run it?

Yeah, using administrator mode. This was at least a month ago, it might be worth a try again.

Downloaded correct version for 32 or 64 bit Vista? Also try turning off the Vista Aero effects?

With Vista and windower just click off screen like on the bar at bottom, and it'll allow you to hit the print screen button, than just paste that into good ole paint and you can cut out the non-ffxi related content. makes for slightly smaller screen shot but it works
