My first online MMORPG was EQ1 in 1999. Been playing MMORPGs ever since then.
The first commercial game I actually played over a modem was probably Doom (or was it Doom 2?)
Before that, plenty of text-based games on BBSes (trade wars!)
I'm 32 now.

I think i started first playing MUD (text games) when I was around 12, up until Diablo2.. Played that for quite a while until the dupe fest, then took a break. Got back into gaming with FFXI in around 05' and am now 23.

Started playing at age 8 with supermario world for SNES (skipped the nes ones since i didnt have an NES) after i moved on to NES bought sega did that for a few years and one day i see phantasy star online for sale at a store i try it out and thats my introduction to online gaming. I loved the game i got into it also to kill time in the military. I had to change duty stations and i didnt have the same IP i had when i was in japan and i was dumb and got aol which i could'nt use for pso so i bought ffxi and the rest is history. Im now 27 years old i was introduced to online games at age 22. I still miss pso to this day psu just isnt the same for some reason.

I was about 13-14 when I picked up Phantasy Star Online for the cube. Moved on from that to DOAU for Xbox, and then onto Warcraft 3 from then on. I'm 18 now and I'm not currently looking forward to any other MMO aside from WoW.
