 //.hack Been looking to get started on .hack for a long time now, but with the way Anime tends to go, there's always so many offshoots and strange naming conventions. So, my question is -- for all you Anime experts -- where do I start. I want to start at the very beginning and see if it lives up to all the hype. What season/series/etc should I be searching for?

| Start with .hack//SIGN. In my opinion, it was the best and really after you watch that series, you can stop and still feel pretty gratified. It's my personal favorite... I even bought the OSTs for it.

| Yeah i would start with .hack//sign also and then watch the OAV that is a prequel to that .hack//liminality .hack//Liminality (OAV) - Anime News Network and then start down the line of every series following which is .hack//GIFT (OAV) .hack//Intermezzo (OAV) (sequel) .hack//Unison (OAV) (sequel) .hack//Legend Of The Twilight (TV) (sequel) .hack//Roots (TV) All of them are pretty good i specially like .hack//roots
