Gaming getting WORSE/BORINGER?

is it just me or has the whole MMORPG games got WAY more boring and some totally dumb. its like with every new game.. 10 go bad... and that new game SUCKS to.


i want blizzard to make this! ( with better then wow graphix)

DIABLO ONLINE ( not that diablo 2 crap but a whole new )
STARCRAFT ONLINE

Have to agree, some arent as exciting as they use to be. Star wars galaxies, now thats the feeling I want in my MMO when I play for the 1st time. That general awe insprining game thats like crack.

I am playing EVE Online right now which is on the same theme as SWG - spaceships and scifi stuff - but I dunno how it compares because i never played SWG. Steep learning curve, enough to get you engaged for a while. High death penalty. Takes about a year to get a decent character trained. Game's kinda slow paced though and you have to have some measure of patience to play it, so it doesn't appeal to players who need constant action content. Also very freelance. You do whatever you want to the game doesn't really lead you from quest to quest so main focus is player created content (territorial conflicts, etc.)

MMO's really aren't more boring, its just the ways they can differ from each other are for the most part cosmetic. There simply arent very many ways to differ; so the games appear boring, just because they become habit and so similiar, once you play them enough.

Most new MMOs fail because they copy the worst parts of other games, like the boring grind. It seems after that first MMO feel of wanting to play non stop gets lost when you move on to new games because in the end its the same thing over and over

every mmo coming out of the woodworks these days is basically a WoW clone, but none succeed to replicate what people actually like about the game. Developers copy the gui to give the nostalgia effect but leave the rest of the game cluttered with horrible glitches and pitiful game mechanics

Yeah every MMO now a days seems boring it seems like we're all just growing up and evolving from the same repetitive stuff. Something uber needs to come out and spark our interest! cause work and coming home with nothing good to play is starting to suck!
